When NEC in New Zealand embarked on their first Smart Cities project in Wellington, they approached Sean to assist them with the design and selection of various elements for edge sensors, such as in the parking management and traffic flow sensors, the LED lighting sensors, the RF mesh network design and internal designs of the NEC Kite gateway that forms the heart of all their on premise connectivity. This collaboration has further been expanded, where NEC Australia have requested Sean to assist them with IoT architecture and solution consulting to be included in their new Australian Smart Cities projects.
